Text alerts from Courta

Optional texts about the games you host and join. You turn them on yourself, from your profile, and one word turns them off.

What we text you about

  • A one-time 6-digit code to confirm your number.
  • A reminder about an hour before a game, lesson or round you're in.
  • "You're in" when a spot opens up for you from a waitlist.
  • Invites from other players, and who joined a game you host.
  • Changes: a host running late, a cancellation, or a reservation we made for you.

Nothing promotional. Every alert links back to the game it's about.

How you opt in

  1. Log in and open your profile, then the "Text message alerts" box.
  2. Type your own mobile number and tap "Send code". The consent wording sits right under the button.
  3. Enter the 6-digit code we text you. Alerts are on from that moment, and we text you once to confirm.

We never add a number from a list or on someone else's behalf: the only way onto the programme is typing your own number and confirming the code.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with how much you play: a few texts a week for an active player, none in a week without games. Courta doesn't charge for texts, but message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping, and getting help

  • Reply STOP to any text and alerts end at once; you'll get one message confirming that. Reply START to turn them back on.
  • Or switch off "Text me" on your profile, or remove the number entirely.
  • Reply HELP for help, write to hello@courta.co, or use the contact page.

Privacy

Your mobile number and your consent to receive texts are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Texts are delivered through Twilio, which does nothing else with them. The full picture is in our privacy policy and terms.
