Community guidelines
Nine rules. Mostly common sense.
They exist so that a game you join is a game that actually happens, with people you're glad you met.
- 1
Show up, and check in
A spot you take is a spot someone else didn't get. If you can't make it, leave the game early so it reopens. When you arrive, tap "I'm here" on the game page; your on-time record is shown on your games. Repeated no-shows get an account paused.
- 2
Post real times
The start time is a promise to the people joining and to whoever is waiting for the court. Running late? Use "Running late" on the game page so everyone is told. Finished early? Tap "We're done" so the next group knows the court is free.
- 3
Reserve first where the venue takes bookings
Some venues and every golf course take their own reservations. Book with them, then post on Courta to fill the group, and mark the game as reserved. Posting a time you haven't booked sends people to a court that isn't yours.
- 4
Be honest about your level
Beginner, intermediate, advanced. Picking the right one is how everybody has a good game, including you.
- 5
Respect the venue
Follow the court's or course's rules, time limits and dress code. Leave it how you found it. Venues can and do stop listing over this.
- 6
Keep bookings on Courta
Paying a coach or venue outside the app means no refund policy, no record, and no reviews for the coach. Our fee on lessons stops after your third with a coach, so there's little to save and a lot to lose.
- 7
Treat people well
No harassment, discrimination, threats or unwanted contact, in games, messages or reviews. One report is enough for us to look; a confirmed case is a ban.
- 8
Reviews are for people who were there
You can only review a coach after attending a lesson. Keep it about the coaching.
- 9
No spam or off-topic listings
Games and sessions are for playing sports. Anything else gets removed.
What happens when a rule is broken
Every game, profile and review has a Report link. A person reads each report. Depending on what happened: a warning, a paused account, or removal. Refunds for anyone affected follow the refund policy.
